Hotel Management |
Hotel management has suffered a great blow in 2020 considering the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of that, the updates, trends and nature of this industry have also shifted to a great dynamic. The trends which we have observed this year are completely and utterly different from what they have been earlier.
Let's observe some of them here!
Excessive stress on sanitization
Due to the pandemic, sanitization has become the top priority of the masses. A lot of stress is given to maintaining that. Every hotel which is reopening is announcing at lengths about how they are able to keep their premises well sanitized.
It has become the only USP for marketing and getting their customers back on track. This trend of talking at lengths about sanitization has never existed earlier. Any hotel management course will definitely give more emphasis on teaching students about sanitization in their training curriculum.
Social Distancing
Maintenance of social distancing in lobbies, common areas and eating places has also become the new trend. Hotels are also taking measures by limiting the number of people staying on each floor. They are giving their employees one less shift to ensure that there is no overcrowding in the hotels.
In fact, every hotel management course in Kolkata has added these new trends as part of their revised curriculum. It has become quite the norm out there.
Instilling a new beginning
As the lockdown begins to live, we can see that most hotels have resumed their normal businesses but have kept the social distancing and hygienic measures to a pint.
This shows that even when the virus eradicates, there will be sufficient measures taken to ensure that the safety of all is maintained.
If you come across any other trends in the industry then do let us know. Half the year has come to an end. It will be interesting to see what new trends will befall upon the industry as the COVID-19 continues to stay.
